“After only 3 years of use, my Trane compressor/outside unit had completely burned out. Yes, they did come out and install a new compressor. We like it cold (70 degrees) and after the new compressor was installed, the AC could never get the house that cold or if it did, it was running nonstop. My electric bill is going to be excessively high. I have to raise the thermostat by a degree or two, for the compressor to take a break. I have called them and they do come as quickly as they can. However, if possible, do NOT call on the weekend. The charges are outrageous followed by technician after technician coming only to tell me different reason why the compressor will not stop running unless I set it on the temperature IT likes. Fortunately, I have a window unit in my room because it gets too hot for me. My son has to do the same thing. After putting in about 20K, I expect better products and getting it to work correctly. I've told them but they don't seem to want to correct the problem so I will just end up burning another compressor in 3 years.”
