I am a daughter of a sugar cane farmer, and grew up in a family 1st environment. Work ethic was instilled in us at a very young age. I graduated and went to college for respiratory therapy. After a short two years, I realized that field was definitely not for me, so I entered the work force and started earning money. I became a factory worker making a good living on production in the silk screen industry. After several years, the manufacturing jobs started moving over seas. I knew I had to get a trade and wanted to do something mechanical. I started attending HVAC school at night. I chose that field because I felt it was a necessity and there would always be a need for it. The only issue I didn't think about was, that I am a woman in a male dominant field. I had a hard time finding work, because most employers felt I was too small and couldn't handle the physical aspect of the job, even the company I now own turned me down! I never planned to be a business owner, but life events eventually took me there. It was much harder back then to start a business, there was no social media to get the word out. An ad in the Yellow Pages and word of mouth, were pretty much your only avenue. After passing my state test in 1999, with the support of my family and the grace of God, I opened my own company Landry's AC and never looked back. With $500 in my checking account, I took any job that came my way, from roofing , plumbing, AC or electrical. I did anything it took to survive. I worked countless hours before hiring my 1st employee. The work ethic I developed from working on a production line proved to be golden! I developed relationships with many people that were essential to the success of Landry's, now Air Source One with the acquisition of that company in 2017. The best way to describe my journey is like driving at night with your lights on. You can only see what's right in front of you. You have to be ready to adapt to many obstacles along the way. I will never claim to know everything, in fact I still learn something new everyday. I think that mindset has taken me exactly where I am to this point in my life. To this present day I still drive a truck full of tools prepared to do anything it takes to help out in the field. This company is not only about me, it's about all the amazing employees that have gotten the company to this statute. We will always strive to be the best and put the consumer 1st! This is truly a joint venture between me and the wonderful people who work beside me!
